The OHAFC 3rd XI suffered the rare indignity of falling a goal behind to Old Kings Scholars on Saturday, but the visitors were soon level and went on to humiliate their opponents, recording their sixth consecutive League triumph with an 8-1 thrashing in the first ever meeting between the teams.

Star of the show was striker Alex Smith, who scored four of the eight goals, with Connor Barrett, Ned Callander and the two Bick brothers, Charlie and Harry, completing the scoring. The win maintains the side's superb run of form that has seen them climb to the top of Division Five South in recent weeks and with half the League programme now complete, the aim must be to secure promotion into Division Four.

Such thoughts were banished from Harrovian minds for a brief spell on Saturday when the hosts had the temerity to take the lead inside the opening quarter of an hour. But Alex Smith struck just three minutes later to settle any nerves and from then on it was one-way traffic.

Connor Barrett headed the visitors in front from a corner before Charlie Bick doubled the lead with a sublime chip, the forward collecting Smith's pass before looking up and planting a perfectly placed shot over the 'keeper from the right wing.

Smith himself added the fourth after he had worked hard to close down the struggling Scholars''keeper and block an attempted clearance before rolling into an empty net.

There was still time before the break for Harry Bick to add a fifth with a superb solo effort, beating one defender on the left before switching the ball onto his weaker foot and planting a shot into the bottom right corner.

Despite the comfortable lead, the Blues maintained their level of performance in the second half, scoring twice more before the hour mark. Ned Callander did well down the left before squaring for an unmarked Smith to finish at the second attempt, his first effort having been blocked.

Callander himself scored the seventh, coolly finishing a one-on-one after he'd been played clean through, before Smith completed his hat-trick in similar circumstances, collecting Tommy Faber's pass before rounding the 'keeper and slotting home. That goal took Smith's tally for the 3s to a hugely impressive 32 goals in 31 appearances for the team.

It was another majestic display from Nick Kapoor's men and keeps them on track for the promotion play-offs - the winner of Division Five South meet the runners-up in Division Five North and vice-versa over two legs in April, with the two winners of the ties being promoted into Division Four.

The side now have a break until December 9th and a home fixture with Epsom 2s.
