The 2nd XI completed their pre season preparations with a useful run out at Merchant Taylors on Saturday.

An unfamiliar line up, with a number of regulars absent, provided an excellent opportunity for newcomers and non-regulars to get in front of the selectors' eyes before the season kicked off. A wide, sloping pitch, and searing 17 degree temperatures also provided good conditions for all involved to work on their fitness.

Harrow scored in the second half courtesy of a Soyinka penalty which followed a handball in the Merchant Taylors' box - the striker, on the long road back from a knee injury, dispatching the set piece into the top-right corner. MTs scored two late on, one a tidy volley from a ball over the back four, and the other a cross-come-shot which sailed over everyone and into the top-right corner.

With a full pre season under their belts the side begin their league campaign on Saturday against last season's arch rivals the Old Alleynians. The game will be played at home on the school astro.
