1s continue rise with hard-fought Wellington win

16 Oct 2017

Despite the comfortable nature of the 3-0 scoreline, the OHAFC 1st XI were made to battle all the way before securing their second consecutive League win of the season at Wellington on Saturday.

The sides were goalless with twenty minutes remaining but the visitors finally made their extra quality tell and efforts from regular scorers James Breeden, Josh Adejokun and, perhaps more surprisingly, Jack Hill confirmed the destination of the points.

The win lifts Yunus Sert's men into third in the table, consigning the early season struggles firmly into the background.

Saturday's team sheet and match report are now available in the results section here.

The 1s now embark on their Dunn Cup campaign with the visit of Alleynians to the Hill next Saturday for a first round tie - a side that have already beaten the OHAFC 2s twice this season.
