1st XI beaten by Eton on opening day

The OHAFC returned to top flight action for the first time since the end of the 2014/15 season and were given a stark reminder of just how tough life in the Premier Division is going to be when they were defeated 3-1 by old rivals Eton on the Hill on Saturday.

Despite the scoreline, the game was a tight affair for long spells with neither side able to dominate on a blustery afternoon.

A free-kick sailed over David Griffiths' head to gift the visitors the lead before the break and after the hosts had failed to convert a number of half-chances in the second period, they were made to pay as Eton broke twice to score late on.

A Charlie Stebbings strike five minutes from time proved little consolation.

A full match report plus team lineup is now available in the results section, with photos of Saturday's game available in the media section later this week.
