2nd XI put six past depleted Eastbourne

25 Sep 2016

The OHAFC 2nd XI made amends for their opening day disappointment at Epsom with a comprehensive dismantling of ten-man Eastbourne on Saturday afternoon.

Utilising the extra man to good effect in the first half, Geoff Taunton-Collins' men played some excellent football and scored four times through Jack Alhadeff, Doug Morrison and Bemini Soyinka (2). A sloppy goal conceded from a free-kick was the one disappointment.

The hosts dropped their intensity in the second half and for the most part the game drifted towards the inevitable conclusion but there was still time for three further goals, Soyinka claiming his hat-trick along with two long-range efforts, one from David Lederman, one from an Eastbournian who finished the scoring with a superb effort from distance.

The win takes the Blues up to fourth in the table ahead of next week's trip to Aldenham.
