2s' astroturf woes continue at Westminsters

6 Dec 2017

The OHAFC 2nd XI suffered a fifth straight defeat on astroturf on Saturday when they were comprehensively defeated 5-0 by Westminsters' 1st XI in Rotherhithe.

The visitors, aiming for a fourth League win in five matches, started brightly but a defensive mix-up gifted Westminsters the lead after twenty minutes.

Harrow should have equalised soon afterwards when Jack Alhadeff fired just wide of the near post following a cross from Geoff Taunton-Collins. But the hosts broke up the other end and carved out a simple chance for their striker to double the lead.

Despite switching personnel and formations in the second half, the visitors never managed to build sustained pressure on their opponents' goal and some clinical finishing late on produced a decidedly one-sided scoreline at the final whistle.
