2s floored by Charterhouse 3s

12 Dec 2017

The OHAFC 2nd IX suffered their second consecutive disappointing defeat as a performance high on effort but low on quality saw them defeated 2-1 by Charterhouse 3s on Saturday on the Hill.

An encouraging start by the Blues was quickly ruined thanks to the concession of two goals in ten minutes midway through the first half, the second owing to an unlucky ricochet off a Harrow defender.

The hosts hit back on the half-hour mark when Doug Morrison headed home a superb cross from Geoff Taunton-Collins at the far post.

But the second half was a curiously low-key affair with neither side able to create any chances of note, Harrow's poor passing stifling their ability to control the game.

The defeat once more leaves the side in relegation trouble in Division Two going into the month-long winter break. Six games remain for the side and they are likely to need to win three of them to survive in the division.
