Misses prove costly as 1s fall to Lancing

The OHAFC 1st XI's hopes of avoiding relegation from the Arthurian League Premier Division took a further turn for the worse on Saturday with a comprehensive 5-0 defeat at Lancing Old Boys.

The scoreline was, in fact, harsh on the visitors, who were the better team for the majority of the game. But a lack of clinical finishing at one end and some individual defensive errors at the other - the bane of the side this season - ensured that Lancing ran out comfortable winners.

Ed Poulter's men have four games remaining to try and salvage their League status. Whilst the trip to Charterhouse is a daunting one, three winnable home games remain against Brentwood, Marlborough and Forest.

Saturday's team lineup is now available in the results section.
