OHAFC Veterans skipper John Wyn-Evans this week released the side's fixture schedule for the period up until Christmas.

The now traditional curtain raised against Witan will take place next Sunday, October 22nd with the Old Wykehamists the visitors to the Bank of England Ground a fortnight later on November 5th.

Two weeks after that a new fixture appears with a game against an Andy Butler Select XI - the OHAFC President occasionally plays with some other old men in his neighbourhood and has managed to persuade them to take on the mighty OHAFC in their first ever 11-a-side fixture. Disappointingly, Andy has suggested the opposition will be calling themselves the Dulwich Jaguars, making them sound like a particularly crap American football team...

This is sure to be a grudge match of epic proportions as the two sides battle to win the affections of the former OHAFC 1st XI skipper to ensure his future commitment. Baked goods are also thought to be in each side's arsenal as additional persuasive material...

Late November or early December will see the official OHAFC Vets team take on either Repton or Berkhamsted in the first round of the Derrick Moore Veterans Cup - these two sides meet on November 5th for the honour of playing the OHAFC in round two.

December 17th sees a glamorous pre-Christmas friendly with the Bank of England and there is also the potential for a further game against Lancing to be slotted into an available gap.
