The OHAFC 2nd XI kicked off their 2019/20 pre-season on Tuesday night with a relatively comfortable 3-2 win over the newly promoted Old Sennockians, who will be joining them in Div 2 this season.

Harrow had the greater share of possession in the first half, and were duly rewarded, going in 3-1 at the break. Jack Dolbey, starting on the right wing, scored the first with a tidy lob after nipping in ahead of the Sevenoaks keeper following a clever through ball from debutant Ed Beecham. The second came courtesy of a determined run across the box from the other debutant James Tippett – he ran from left to right and struck a firm shot which squirmed under the keeper and into the bottom right hand corner. Harrow’s final goal saw good work from Lederman and Hovey release skipper Taunton-Collins down the right who clipped his cross over the keeper to an alert Tippett, who headed into an empty net.

The second half saw Harrow drop deeper as the side tired, but the visitors kept good shape to reduce Sevenoaks chances to a premium, with their second goal coming courtesy of an excellent 35 yard lob.

Harrow can be pleased with their efforts, and now look forward to continuing their preseason preparations away at Merchant Taylors on 31st August.
