Emre followed elder brother Yunus into the club, making his first appearance in goal for the 1st XI on the astroturf in a remarkable 10-1 win over Haileyburians in March 2016.

With David Griffiths returning to university in September, Emre once more found himself between the sticks for the 1st XI early in the 2016/17 season and performed superbly in the 2-0 home defeat to KCS Wimbledon and the 1-1 draw at Brentwood - the side's first point of the season. He ended that campaign with seven appearances for the 1s, two for the 2s (both in the Junior League Cup) and played a further game for the 3s.

Fraser McGuinness' return to action left Emre's brother Yunus with a selection dilemma and the result was that Emre split his playing time between the 1s and 2s in the first half of the 2017/18 season, even enjoying a run-out at left-back for the 2s.
