Jack Hill

biography

Jack is a dynamic, powerful midfielder with excellent stamina levels allowing him to run box-to-box. Blessed with solid technique, Jack's stocky physique helps him dominate central areas and he's also capable of scoring the odd screamer.

He made his debut for the OHAFC in a 2nd XI game against Old Kings Wimbledon II's in November 2011 but studying for a degree at Manchester University then restricted him to the occasional appearance over the next few years.

Having returned to London, Jack was given his opportunity in central midfield for the 1st XI in the 2014/15 season following injuries to some key players. He took his chance well, establishing himself as a regular and finishing the campaign with three goals from thirteen appearances.

The following season, as the side fought to gain promotion back into the Premier Division, Jack was a regular, making 17 League and Cup appearances and scoring twice. His performance levels varied throughout the season however, possibly as a result of some 'unorthodox' Friday night activities.

Disappointingly, with the side back in the top flight for 2016/17, Jack suffered a torn Achilles tendon in a pre-season friendly against the Old Marlburians, ruling him out for the entire season.

Having successfully recovered, he returned to action on the opening day of the 2017/18 campaign in the 2-2 draw at Cholms. Jack played 70 minutes of the game and with no reaction from his Achilles, was soon back into the rhythm of regular football, resuming his role in the middle of the 1s' midfield.
