Following a 6-1 demolition of the same team last week, the 2nd XI headed up to Brentwood full of confidence.

The side went 1-0 down when a top piece of skill from the Brentwood number 11 saw him cut in off the left, beat four players and slot calmly past the stationery Pritchard who could do nothing but watch and admire.

The 2s retaliated with a fantastic 20 minute spell capped by a pin point cross from Curry which met Trower's left foot and subsequently the bottom corner of the goal. A brilliant one touch move.

After the break the hosts upped the tempo and tackles started to fly in all over the park with little protection from the referee. On 60 minutes, Brentwood scored their second with another good run and finish from the Essex winger.

With ten minutes to spare a rather innocuous challenge from Bone sparked a brawl and spree of red cards - one for Bone and two for the home side.

The last kick of the game saw Bartlett's volley from the edge of the box float agonisingly wide of the far post.

The 2s host Old Foresters at home next week with several regulars unavailable.
