The 2nd XI put the disappointment of last Saturday's mauling at Brentwood behind them with a well deserved 3-2 win over Old Foresters second string. Dave Stead stole the show with a well taken hat-trick.

The 2s went 1-0 down with a defence splitting ball from the Forest right winger, calmly slotted home by the oppsition no.14. However minutes later, Harrow duly responded with a well worked move down the right hand side involving Ogyen Verhagen and Joe Bone, resulting in a curling cross into the box from Harry Woolley and a fine header from Stead.

A few minutes before half time, a free-kick from Bone was cleverly chipped over the Forest wall and onto the head of the impressive Stead who dispatched into the Forest net.

After another excellent (this time right-footed) Stead finish on 55 minutes, injuries to Hugo Trower and Bone meant the side had to dig deep in the second half. 3-1 up, Harrow conceded a goal that appeared marginally offside which set up a nerve-racking last 20 minutes. Ben Kerry and Kamil Amin, both standing in at centre half performed creditably, Joe Bone was fantastic throughout and schoolboy debutant James Breeden showed some excellent skill on the left wing.
