The 2nd XI kicked off their JLC campaign with a 5-1 win over bottom of Div 5, Forest 3s.

A poor availability week saw Harmsworth, Berry, Stead and Bartlett called up to the 1s, leaving the 2s depleted. 3rd XI skipper Theo Gordon stepped in alongside Kamil Amin at centre half with Vishnu Nambiar filling in at left back to replace the injured Woolley. Will Pridham, Spencer & Galen Crawley and the returning Alex Breeden made up a solid midfield quartet. 2nd XI legend Ed Thorn waited on the bench before being summoned for the second half.

Scoring flowed from the 10th minute with Soyinka latching onto a good ball from Will Pridham. Max Curry bagged a well taken brace before captain Chopra pounced on a flick from Curry after a long throw from Spencer Crawley. There was just enough time for another Soyinka goal before the half time whistle. Harrow were 5-1 up at half time.

In the second half, Harrow created numerous chances but failed to take any of them. After Max Curry was brought down in the box on 75 minutes, Soyinka missed a chance to seal his hatrick with the 'keeper guessing right. However, newcomer Galen Crawley and Pridham ran the midfield with consummate ease throughout with Gordon making some important interceptions at the back.

A good win for the side after having lost their previous two league games. Aldenham at home next week is a very different prospect indeed...
