3rd XI earn a record seventh straight win

6 Jan 2018

The OHAFC 3rd XI had to come from behind, but ultimately ran out comfortable 3-1 winners over the Old Malvernian 2s on Saturday afternoon, in the process becoming the first OHAFC side in over a decade to string together seven consecutive League victories.

After conceding a scrappy goal midway through the first half, somewhat against the run of play, the Blues rallied and levelled prior to the break through Ned Callander.

The second half saw the hosts firmly in the ascendency and, despite wasting numerous opportunities to score, did manage to find the net twice through Callander, on the hour, and Alex Smith with fifteen minutes remaining.

As well as setting the new record, the win returns the side to the summit of Division Five South and maintains their promotion push with six League games remaining.
