The School will be hosting a Memorial Service in memory of Gillian Whitmee, who died on 29 March 2023, and all who had the privilege to know her are welcome to attend.

The service, in celebration of her life at Harrow, will take place in the Harrow School Chapel, HA1 3HP on Tuesday 28th November 2023 from 3pm, followed by tea in the Old Harrovian Room.

Gillian came to Harrow in 1983 and was a much-loved Matron on the Hill for many years, dedicating her life to the School, and, most especially, to the boys in her care. She was Matron of Rendalls from 1983 to 2001, standby Matron from 2002 to 2005 and Matron of Druries from 2005 to 2010. She was also a staunch supporter of the OHAFC and spent many Saturday afternoons on the Phil watching our matches, come rain or shine.
