A makeshift 1st XI side containing no fewer than four players who have yet to play for the team this season helped secure promotion back into the Premier Division of the Arthurian League on Saturday with a hard-fought 4-1 win over the Old Malvernians at Brunel University.

Skipper Ed Poulter had endured a nightmare week trying to cobble together a squad to travel to Uxbridge but he was rewarded for his efforts thanks to two goals from Harry Hoffen and a header apiece from Hugo Trower and Nick Scarborough that earned the side the win they needed to ensure the three points and, at worst, second place in the table.
