2s win high scoring season opener

20 Aug 2016

A squad of 12 (plus onlooking vice-captain Max Curry) won a free flowing 6-4 encounter with Dulwich - an opponent Harrow will be familiar with come the end of the season after their promotion from Division 4.

Newcomer Alex Ellis opened Harrow's scoring with a clever header from Edmund Massey's penetrating cross (to equalise 1-1). The centre back then authoritatively lashed in a loose ball from a corner for the side's second.

Taunton-Collins scored Harrow's next three to make it (5-3), first a scrappy flick from a corner, then two mazy dribbles completed with neat finishes - first with his left foot, then with his right.

Doug Morrison made it six with an accomplished lob over the stranded Dulwich 'keeper from wide on the left.

All in all, a promising start to the 2s' campaign, and some welcome minutes under the belt.
