2s resurgence continues with superb Eton win

12 Mar 2018

The OHAFC 2nd XI remain unbeaten in League and Cup in 2018, continuing their excellent run of form with a superb 3-0 win over an Eton side that had beaten them 5-2 earlier in the season.

Some disciplined defending and clinical finishing saw the visitors make light of their opponents' superior possession, with the three goals all coming at vital times: Jack Alhadeff scored the opener after ten minutes, skipper Geoff Taunton-Collins, via a deflection, added the second a minute into the second half and Giles Newton produced a superb third with twenty minutes remaining to settle the result.

The win lifts the side into sixth in Division Two, their highest League position of the season, and with two League games remaining, they are within touching distance of ensuring survival.
