3rd XI cruise into DW Trophy semi-finals

12 Mar 2018

Three first half goals saw the OHAFC 3rd XI continue their magnificent run of form and comfortably dispatch Old Brentwoods 3s in the quarter-finals of the David Woolcott trophy on Saturday afternoon.

Midfielder Oscar Gairard opened the scoring with his first ever goal for the club and further strikes from Ned Callander and leading scorer Alex Smith put the tie beyond the visitors' reach.

Brentwoods did pull a goal back but the Blues held on comfortably to set up a semi-final tie with either the Old Alleynians 2s or the Old Johnians.

The victory also ensured that for the first time in OHAFC history, two Saturday sides have reached their respective Cup semi-finals - the 2nd XI face Old Kimboltonians in the Junior League Cup on the same day as the 3s are scheduled to play their semi-final.

Saturday's team lineup is now available in the results section with a match report due shortly.
