Ludo Callander crowned 2016 Fantasy champion!

18 May 2016

Huge congratulations go to Ludo Callander for winning the 2015/16 OHAFC Fantasy Premier League competition.

In a Leicester-esque display, big Ludo led throughout much of the campaign and, much like the Foxes, only got stronger as the campaign wore on.

He pretty much led from start to finish, earning the most points in August and rarely dropping from top spot prior to Christmas.

From the turn of the year onwards Ludo continually outscored the other 26 players in the League and ended the season with a huge total of 2,398 points - the best score by any OHAFC player in the last five years.

Ludo finished 122 points clear of second placed Theo Gordon, who did an Arsenal on Alec Fogarty, and pipped him to second place on the final week of the season. Foggy finished 154 points behind Ludo and the 3rd XI skipper was joined in fourth by the 1st XI skipper, Ed Poulter performing strongly late on to end 192 points behind Ludo. These four were the only players to amass over 2,200 points, generally considered the benchmark for a title-challenging campaign.

But such was the quality of Ludo's performance, he finished 43rd out of everyone who played the game - that's 43rd out of 3,734,001 players - and just 60 points from top spot - a remarkable achievement.

At the other end of the table, the bottom three have been set in stone for some time, with Freddie Brunt and Manhad Narula just missing out to Sandip Patel as the worst fantasisers this season. Sandip's low total of 1,503 points suggesting that, like Chelsea, total commitment may have been somewhat lacking for much of the campaign.

The final table for this season is displayed below - many thanks to all those who participated, see you again next season!
