Photo essay on OHAFC v Eton now available

6 Oct 2016

A magnificent photo essay of the recent 1st XI fixture between the OHAFC and Old Etonians has been produced by award-winning journalist David Bauckham and the work is now available to view on David's website here.

David covers non-League football all over the country and delves into the background stories of the clubs he visits rather than just producing simple match reports. His research of the Harrow versus Eton fixture contains an interesting history of the game of association football and the role both schools played in the early days.

Alongside the essay, which includes details of the disappointing 3-1 defeat for the OHAFC, David has taken some outstanding photographs of the game and the Phil pitches and surrounding scenery.

He also spent time chatting to club vice-president Fred Woolley about the reformation of the OHAFC in the 1960's and draws an interesting conclusion about the place of old boys football in the non-League arena.

David's work is well worth a look...
