Training switches to Pimlico venue

1 Sep 2016

OHAFC weekly training has now switched to the new venue in Pimlico and early indications are that the Wednesday evening sessions will be a great success.

This week's hour-long game of 6-a-side saw 16 OH players, ranging in age from early 20's to, in one case, over 50, rotate during a series of competitive matches.

Kyri Pittalis kept goal throughout at one end but new 1st XI regular stopper David Griffiths was prevented from doing the same at the other end due a rather hastily purchased pair of shorts from Sports Direct which turned out to be designed for a 12 year-old and unsuitable for diving in. When questioned as to why he had bought them, 'Griff' replied 'I didn't have much time to look around.'

Hopefully his decision-making during games this season will be rather better...

Training continues every Wednesday evening from 7pm at the Pimlico Academy in Lupus Street. All OH's are welcome.
