A heavily-fortified OHAFC 3rd XI side travelled south to Hampton astroturf on Saturday morning for their first, and only, pre-season friendly against Division Three side the Old Johnians. Despite the majority of the eleven who travelled being bona fide 3s players, the presence of leading 1st XI lights James Breeden and George Gould ensured some additional firepower was available to skipper Kyle Barrett.

And this proved rather useful, with the two 1s players scoring five of the Blues' six goals between them, Breeden nabbing four. Ade Omisore scored the sixth in a free-flowing game in which defences were most definitely not on top.

Despite the flood of goals, Toby Colehan made an encouraging debut at full-back.

The 3s begin their Division Four campaign with a home game against newly-promoted Old Salopians 2s on the 14th before then travelling to the Old Bancroftians a week later.
