1s promotion hopes hit by Brentwood loss

29 Jan 2018

A disappointing 4-1 home defeat to the Old Brentwoods on Saturday has once more left OHAFC 1st XI promotion hopes firmly in the balance.

Both sides created chances in the first half in a game played in pouring rain on the Hill, but it was the visitors who struck first on the half-hour mark and they took the lead into the break.

A disastrous opening to the second half saw the lead doubled and, despite a well-taken goal from Cyprian Owen-Edmunds with twenty minutes remaining, there was to be no comeback from the Blues, the visitors taking advantage of some poor defending in the closing minutes to score twice more.

Harrow drop back to third in the division with four fixtures remaining but hope remains that four wins may yet be sufficient to regain Premier Division status next season.
