1s survive in Div One as Old Marlburians fold

The OHAFC 1st XI will survive in Division One after all following confirmation from the Arthurian League that, sadly, the Old Marlburians will be folding as a club and, as a consequence, forfeiting their final two fixtures of the season against the OHAFC and the Old Radleians.

Following FA guidelines in such circumstances, the League has awarded both games as victories to the Marlburians' opponents and this ensures that the Old Radleians will be relegated into Division Two.

The OHAFC will, as a consequence, end the season in seventh in the table, with a tally of 23 points from 18 games played. Remarkably, given the testing nature of the campaign, the Blues finish just five points behind the Old Kimboltonians and Old Wykehamists - two sides who have been in promotion contention all season. Indeed, the former will still earn promotion alongside the Old Brentwoods unless the Old Chigwellians win their final fixture.

For the Blues, the summer break presents an opportunity to reset and rethink their approach going into next season with a stronger campaign badly needed.
