1st XI denied valuable point at leaders Forest

5 Feb 2017

A superb late save from Forest goalkeeper Ross Faulds ensured the OHAFC 1st XI returned home empty-handed on Saturday night, the Blues succumbing to a headed goal on the hour mark against the Arthurian League leaders.

The visitors, fielding a makeshift side containing several 2s players, battled hard throughout and more than matched their opponents for long spells of the game.

It took a fine save to deny the Blues a point at the death when David Lederman saw his free-kick turned round the post as it appeared destined for the top corner.

The defeat leaves Ed Poulter's men deep in relegation trouble with six games left whilst Forest ensured they remain in the mix for the title.
