1st XI sit atop Division One after opening day win

14 Sep 2015

The OHAFC 1st XI put the nightmare of last season firmly behind them with an encouraging 3-0 win over Repton on the Hill on Saturday.

Determined to make amends for last season's horror showing that saw the side collect just three League wins all season, the Blues got their promotion challenge off to the perfect start. Dan Firoozan scored twice and substitute Cyprian Owen-Edmunds the third as the hosts proved too strong for the side that finished third in Division One last season.

The margin of victory was also sufficient for the OHAFC to sit on top of the division after the first round of matches. The team have a week off from League action before resuming on September 26th with another home game against the Old Wellingtonians.
