2s ride their luck but prevail against Merchant Taylors

12 Nov 2018

The OHAFC 2nd XI played poorly but did just enough to earnt their second League win of the campaign on Saturday, seeing off a skilful Merchant Taylors side 2-1 on the Hill.

The win was secured thanks to a goal in each half from Will Payne and Doug Pratt, with the visitors levelling at 1-1 and then squandering a great chance to snatch the win when they missed a penalty with twenty minutes remaining.

The hosts held on valiantly and rise one place to seventh in the table as a result.

Prior to kick-off the two sides observed a minute's silence and the OHAFC XI wore poppy armbands as a mark of remembrance to those who lost their lives in the Great Wars.

Saturday's team lineup, match report and photos are now available in the results section here.
