2's thrash Brentwood thanks to four-goal Verhagen

10 Nov 2012

The OHAFC 2nd XI put last week's disappointing defeat to Marlborough behind them with a comprehensive 6-1 thrashing of their Brentwood counterparts on the Hill.

Star of the show was schoolboy Ogyen Verhagen, who on just his second appearance in senior football scored four goals including a penalty and a cheeky backheel with minutes to go to send the crowd home happy.

An early Harry Turner strike and an own goal completed the scoring for the home side in a game of three penalties - Verhagen scored Harrow's with the minimum of fuss to complete his hat-trick. Pritchard pulled off a fine save to deny Brentwood their first effort but was finally beaten late on when a second spot-kick was hit rather better.

There was less encouraging news from the nextdoor pitch where Theo Gordon's 3rd XI suffered a very disappointing 7-1 defeat to Old Epsomians.
