OHAFC III 4 Old Millhillians 4

This week in Division 5 saw bottom of the table Harrow 3s draw 4-4 against leaders Millhill in a game which could have gone either way up until the very end.

Harrow started in nonchalant fashion, playing with no shape and therefore found themselves struggling to cope straight away. The point at which the opposition were 2-0 up within 15mins is when the team got serious and started playing their natural game. Nick Kapoor who had his best 90 minutes of the season quickly fired back a goal with a header to make it 2-1. Alex Smith, another player who had his best game so far scored 2 before the half ended. Mill Hill continued to fight back but it was a marvellous sight to see the Harrovians handle the the league leaders with so much confidence. It was 3-3 at half time and the feeling amongst the team was that a win was very possible and within reach.

In the second half both teams went for it but it was Harrow who scored first with Ali Buckley making a great run and finishing in calm fashion. The 4-3 lead was short lived as soon after, a long ball from the opposition caught the OH defence off guard and as Theo Gordon chased the last man back his challenge lead to a foul inside the area. The referee, Bob Jennings, awarded the penalty and gave Gordon his marching orders. Millhill levelled and Khan's men were down to ten with 20 minutes to go.

Chaz McHardy, playing his second game for the 3s, was excellent in goal. Millhill's best 11 had a good number of attempts and Harrow came excruciatingly close many times but the score line remained at 4-4. Whilst the visitors fought amongst each other for most of the game Harrow played with class and a determination not seen before. The captain was pleased that all 12 players were brilliant and to see his side still improving their football with every game.
