Harry Hoffen wins Charles Clover Brown 2012

Leading 1st XI striker Harry Hoffen was this year the proud recipient of the Charles Clover Brown award, given to those who have shown outstanding commitment to the club.

Harry received his award in the somewhat less than salubrious surroundings of the downstairs room of Pagliaccio's Pizza restaurant on the Wandsworth Bridge Road, venue for this year's OHAFC Players' Dinner.

Feared throughout the League, Harry's searing pace and ability to score goals from anywhere have been a regular feature in first eleven games for many seasons now. The 35 year-old began playing for the club in the 1994/5 season and was soon topping the scoring charts on a regular basis.

His form led him to be called up to the League Rep side on a regular basis and he also played several times for the AFA team, becoming the only OHAFC player to earn his AFA tie in the process.

Harry succeeds Arjun Chopra as recipient of the Charles Clover Brown Award and is the 30th OHAFC member to be chosen. Older brother Rupert won the award back in 2005, much to Harry's annoyance at the time.
