On this weekend...

8 Nov 2013

Continuing our look back through the OHAFC archives at games played on this weekend last season, three seasons ago and five seasons ago...

Last Season: November 10th 2012

- 1st XI: No fixture

- 2nd XI: Beat Brentwood 2's 6-1 at home in the breakout game for Ogyen Verhagen, who was in his last year at school and making only his second appearance for the Club. Ogyen scored four of the six, running rings round the bedazzled Brentwood back four, with the other goal courtesy of Harry Turner and a Brentwood own goal. In an entertaining encounter, referee Alan Greenberg awarded three penalties, one of which was well saved by Harrow 'keeper Alasdair Pritchard (below). Brentwood earned two bookings late on, but could then only watch and admire as Verhagen completed the scoring with a backheel flick - 'a Welbeck', as the onlooking Jackie Woolley correctly pointed out.

- 3rd XI: Lost 7-1 at home to Epsom, Max Curry the scorer.

Three Seasons Ago: November 12th 2011

- 1st XI: Beat Haileybury 3-2 at home, Quentin Baker scoring one and Harry Hoffen the other two, both with superb left-footed strikes, the second of which clinched the points in the last minute. Charlie Walsh made his 1st XI debut between the posts and was kept busy in a game which the hosts dominated for long spells but couldn't ever put to bed - until their leading scorer thumped home into the top corner from fifteen yards out.

- 2nd XI: Lost 6-2 at KCS Wimbledon 2's, despite Dave Stead and Tom Dunbar giving the visitors a 2-0 lead inside the first fifteen minutes.

- 3rd XI: No fixture
