Today we take a look back at the last six years' worth of games for the three OHAFC teams on this weekend...

Six Seasons Ago: September 26th 2009

No OHAFC fixtures

Five Seasons Ago: September 25th 2010

OHAFC 1st XI 1 Lancing Old Boys 1: A David Lederman strike earned the 1st XI an encouraging 1-1 draw at home to a strong Lancing side

Old Amplefordians 2 OHAFC 2nd XI 4: The 2nd XI produced another fine display to overcome Ampleforth with full-back Phil Berry popping up with two goals, regular scorers Joe Bone and Bemini Soyinka both contributing one apiece

Four Seasons Ago: September 24th 2011

The only OHAFC side in action were the 2nd XI who cobbled together a team to play a friendly against the Marlburians. They perhaps wished they hadn't bothered however as they were dealt a 7-1 drubbing, Ed Arghebant the scorer of the Blues consolation goal

Three Seasons Ago: September 29th 2012

Old Brentwoods 1 OHAFC 1st XI 3: An outstanding performance and win for the Club with goals from Piers Bourke, Luke de Rougemont and Charlie Stebbings securing three points at one of the traditionally harder Premier Division venues

OHAFC 3rd XI 0 Old Berkhamstedians 0: An almost unheard of goalless draw in Division Five saw the points shared on the Hill - future 1's 'keeper Charlie Walsh helping Theo Gordon's men to a hard-earned point

Two Seasons Ago: September 28th 2013

Old Foresters 1 OHAFC 1st XI 1: The Harrow 1's earned a hard-fought point at Forest thanks to a second-half header from Fred Coleridge-Cole

OHAFC 2nd XI 1 Old Forest 2's 3: The 2's went behind early in unusual circumstances when stand-in 'keeper Harry Turner handled the ball having already rolled it out to himself. A second Forest goal on the half-hour gave the visitors control but new boy Anthony Beresford reduced the arrears just before the break. Sadly, the visitors sealed the points early in the second half thanks to a penalty

Old Sennockians 6 OHAFC 3rd XI 1: The 3rd XI were comfortably beaten by Sevenoaks on an atrocious pitch, Alex Jamal scoring the visitors consolation effort

Last Season: September 27th 2014

OHAFC 2nd XI 3 Old Citizens 3: A stunning last-minute free-kick from Harry Dalzell earnt the Blues second string a point in an entertaining fixture at home to City of London Old Boys. The hosts had taken the lead through Ben Kerry’s second of the season before conceding twice. Arjun Chopra drew the sides level but it took the superb strike from sub Dalzell to earn a point as time expired

OHAFC 3rd XI 2 Old Bancroftians 2: Remarkably, there was an even later Harrow equaliser on the adjoining pitch where Ludo Callender struck four minutes into stoppage time to earn Harry Turner’s 3’s a 2-2 draw against the Old Bancroftians, their second consecutive draw. Alec Fogarty had earlier struck for the hosts

On this weekend…Elsewhere in football

September 26th 1998 and one of the more amusing moments in Premiership history occurred at Hillsborough when Paolo di Canio reacted to being shown a red card by shoving over referee Paul Alcock causing the match official to stumble backwards in a ridiculously comical way. The consequences weren’t quite so amusing for the Italian however: he was given an eleven game ban by the FA and was subsequently sold by Sheffield Wednesday to West Ham without playing another game for the Owls

September 26th 2009 saw Gareth Bale win his first game with Spurs – at the 25th time of asking. The future Real Madrid and Wales star had become something of an unlucky mascot at White Hart Lane and there was speculation he was to be sold to Birmingham for as little as £3m. But six years ago his fortunes began to change as he came on for the final five minutes of Spurs’ 5-0 win over Burnley.

Also on this weekend: Efan Ekoku scored four goals for Norwich in their 5-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park (1993), Peter Schmeichel scored with an 89th minute header for Manchester United against Rotor Volgograd in the Champions League to earn the Reds a 2-2 draw (1995), Joe Kinnear was appointed manager of Newcastle United (2008), Avram Grant was appointed manager of Portsmouth (2009)
