On this weekend...

13 Dec 2013

Continuing our look back through the OHAFC archives at games played on this weekend last season, three seasons ago and five seasons ago...

Last Season: December 15th 2012

1st XI: No fixture

2nd XI: Lost 7-0 at Aldenham in a supposedly humiliating defeat, however there were significant suspicions that Aldenham's side contained a number of 1st XI players.

It was also one of those games where literally every shot the opposition hit flew into the top corner of the Harrow net past a bewildered Alasdair Pritchard.

Harrow 1st XI skipper Quentin Baker returned from injury for his first run-out of the season and the ninety minutes he got under his belt was one of the few positives for Arjun Chopra's men.

3rd XI: No fixture

Three Seasons Ago: December 17th 2011

1st XI: Beat Cholmelians 5-1 in the second round of the Arthur Dunn Cup on the Hill (pictured below).

Piers Bourke opened the scoring for the home side after only five minutes with a rare right-footed effort. Cholms equalised shortly afterwards with a cross that evaded Raffety in the Harrow goal, but the lead was restored minutes before the break when Harry Hoffen rounded off an excellent counter-attack.

Harrow stretched away in the second half thanks to goals from Milln, after an outrageous piece of skill from Paul Molloy, Lederman and Martins - Lederman scoring direct from a corner with his second touch after coming off the bench.

2nd XI: Lost 3-0 at Salopians 2's, despite having the better of a goalless first half. After the break the home side proved clinical in front of goal and ran out comfortable winners.

3rd XI: No fixture

Five Seasons Ago: December 12th 2009

1st XI: Won 2-0 at Salopians to ensure the side went into the Christmas break on top of the table. Harry Hoffen and Luke de Rougemont scored the goals to earn Baker's side the three points on a poor pitch in Chiswick.

2nd XI: Won 4-3 against Chigwell 2's in Essex in a topsy-turvy game played in driving rain throughout.

Harry Gibson gave the visitors the lead after a quarter of an hour but the home side hit back to lead 3-1 at the break. Ed Arghebant kept his nerve to convert two penalties to level the scores at 3-3 before youngster Charlie Bick sealed the win with a superb 40-yard lob, spotting the Chigs 'keeper off his line.

The last ten minutes saw the home side throw everything at Harrow but the Blues held on to claim three important points.

3rd XI: No fixture
