Sloppy 1st XI punished by impressive Lancing

8 Oct 2013

The OHAFC 1st XI produced a sloppy display on Saturday and were defeated 4-2 by last year's Premier Division runners-up Lancing at Kingston Universities Sports Ground.

Despite leading 2-1 at the break, Hoffen and Milln the scorers, the hosts equalised following a scramble from a corner an hour into the game and were then gifted the points thanks to two suicidal defensive mix-ups in the final twenty minutes - a recurring problem for the side that has dogged them for a couple of seasons now.

Ed Poulter's team play their first home game of the season on Saturday against newly-promoted Malvern and the pressure is now on to secure a first win following a return of just a point from the opening two fixtures - albeit trips to two of the strongest teams in the League.

Team lineup and a comprehensive match report is now available in the Results section.
