Super-sub Mike Okoigun fires 1s to Forest win

30 Sep 2019

Two goals from substitute Mike Okoigun fired the OHAFC 1st XI to a hard-fought 3-2 win at home to the Old Foresters on Saturday, the Blues' second League win of the season.

Despite both sides enjoying chances in the first half, the score remained goalless at the break. James Breeden fired Harrow into the lead on the hour mark with a well-placed left-foot effort from the edge of the box, but it wasn't until the introduction of Okoigun that the hosts could stretch clear.

Forest twice replied to the striker's efforts to reduce the arrears to 3-2, but the Blues held on comfortably enough in the closing stages to record a vital, morale-boosting win.

The team climb to fourth in the Premier Division ahead of this Saturday's tricky fixture away to the Old Chigwellians.
