Weekend Round-Up: 3s claim superb point

1s 2s 3s

The OHAFC 3rd XI claimed a superb 2-2 draw away to Division Four leaders the Old Albanians on Saturday afternoon, defending stoutly for long periods and earning a deserved point courtesy of goals from Ollie Atkinson and an Ali Buckley penalty. The hosts had earlier recovered from conceding a shock lead to the Blues with two penalties of their own.

It was not such good news from the 1s and 2s however, with both conceding five goals on the Hill. The 1st XI played well enough but lost 5-1 to the Old Brentwoods on the Harrow astroturf, the Blues' cause not helped by a concussion suffered by centre-half Rory Miller. Ade Omisore provided the sole ray of light for the hosts, scoring early in the second half.

Meanwhile the 2nd XI struggled to lift their game against a much-improved Carthusians 2s side whom they had beaten 3-1 in the reverse fixture a month ago. A pair of deflected shots and penalties (one of which is pictured) in either half contributed to the heavy 5-1 loss, with the hosts never looking likely to get back on level terms.

Team sheets and match reports are now available for all three fixtures in the results section.
