Doug Morrison

biography

After a few years living in New York, Doug returned to the UK permanently in early 2016 and made his OHAFC debut in a 6-4 friendly win over the Old Alleynians in White City in August. He scored a superb lob in the second half to help Harrow to victory.

A quick and direct attacking player, capable of playing out wide or through the middle, Doug produced a Man of the Match display in the 2s' 4-0 win at Aldenham in early October - his competitive OHAFC debut - and, with the 1s struggling with injuries and availability the week after, he was called up for his senior team debut in the 3-1 home defeat to champions Tonbridge.

Doug ended his inaugural season with five appearances for the 1s, the highlight undoubtedly the superb volley he smashed in at Eton to earn the Blues a 2-2 draw. He also scored twice in three games for the 2nd XI, but a nagging hand injury restricted him to just the 8 appearances for the season.

The injury also delayed his start to the 2017/18 season but his return against KCS Wimbledon 2s in the first week of November coincided with the side's first win of the season and Doug scored the opener, shrugging off a defender before finishing cleverly inside the near post. He also scored a header in the 2-1 defeat at home to Charterhouse 3s and with his injury having healed, began to play regularly for the side in the latter half of the season.
