Dalzell magic earns 2nd XI third win in four

28 Nov 2017

A superb goal from substitute Harry Dalzell midway through the second half earned the OHAFC 2s their third win in four League games as their impressive recovery from a poor start to the season continues.

Dalzell collected the ball at the far post, dummied two defenders in front of him, before smashing the ball into the roof of the net from close-range.

In a vital fixture between two of the division's struggling sides, the Blues had enjoyed the better of the first half but fell behind to an excellent Lancing effort from the edge of the box. The hosts equalised prior to the break when Lederman crossed from a free-kick for another substitute, Fred Milln, to head home at the far post.

Lancing appeared to be on top before Dalzell's intervention on the hour-mark and the Blues had to defend stoutly in the closing stages to ensure three precious points were secured.

The win lifts the side into sixth in the table, albeit having played more games than anyone else. The team continue to play every week and now face a trip across London to Canary Wharf for a fixture against the Old Westminsters next Saturday.
