Sloppy defending costs 3s first loss since opening day

19 Mar 2018

The OHAFC 3rd XI spurned their first opportunity to claim the Division Five South title when they produced a poor defensive display in tricky conditions to lose 4-2 at home to the Old Westminsters 2s.

Despite looking the more assured side in possession, the hosts committed too many mistakes at the back, gifting the accomplished Westminsters striker several chances which he gratefully accepted.

Alex Smith scored both Harrow's goals either side of the break, but another mistake in the Harrow rearguard with twenty minutes remaining saw the visitors score their fourth and seal the win.

The OHAFC still need a single point from their two remaining League fixtures to ensure they finish top of the division.

Saturday's team lineup, match report and photos from a wintery Harrow Hill are now available in the results section here.
