1s rue missed chances in Charterhouse loss

22 Oct 2019

The OHAFC returned home frustrated following an undeserved 3-1 defeat away to reigning Premier Division champions the Old Carthusians on Saturday.

An evenly-contested fixture was settled by the hosts' greater authority in both penalty areas, with their first goal courtesy of a superb free-kick and their second assisted by a Harrovian defensive blunder. But in between these two efforts, the OAHFC had several gilt-edged chances of their own, with Alex Gilbert spurning a one-on-one and James Breeden seeing a penalty saved shortly after half-time. The striker would later atone for his error by converting from the spot late on.

The defeat keeps the Blues in fourth in the Premier Division table ahead of next weekend's crunch clash at home to the Old Alleynians.
