The thirteenth edition of the annual pre-season Festiphil Tournament was held on the Hill on Saturday afternoon and was another huge success, with four mixed teams of schoolboys and old boys competing in a round-robin format to decide the ultimate winner. With the availability of many of the School 1st XI this year, the standard was as high as ever and it was wonderful to see players of 17 competing alongside and against those in their 20s, 30s and, in two cases, even in their 50s!

The Yellow team, captained by OHAFC 2s forward Andy Hutchinson, ran out the eventual winners, beating the Reds 2-0 in their first game and the Purples 4-0 in their final match. But the key to victory came in the second round of matches when the two best sides met, the Blues, led by Miles Kellock, managing to hold the Yellows to a 2-2 draw only to lose the ensuing MLS-style penalty shootout 2-0. The Purples, captained by Alfie Hayes, finished third, with the Reds, led by recent leaver Alex Edu, somewhat humiliated in their final game as the Blues ran rampant.

Auberon was named the Young Player of the Tournament and was presented with his prize by Deputy Headmaster Dr Harrison, who also handed out medals and the trophy to the victorious Yellows. Thanks are due to the school for continuing to host the OHAFC for this enjoyable afternoon, the event, as ever, proving an excellent way to introduce the OHAFC to the current school footballers. Thanks also to the tireless efforts of both Ludo Palazzo and Fred Woolley for ensuring the event runs as smoothly as possible from an OHAFC perspective.
