3s throw away three-goal lead to draw

5 Oct 2020

The OHAFC 3rd XI claimed their first point of the season on Saturday courtesy of a 3-3 draw at home to the Old King's Scholars, but at the final whistle it felt like more of a defeat, the hosts throwing away a three-goal lead in a disappointing second half.

Goals from Michael Brooks, Ali Buckley (from the spot) and sub Ade Omisore put the hosts into what appeared an unassailable 3-0 lead at half-time.

But further weaknesses at set-pieces cost the home side a couple of goals after the break and a breakaway third ensured the visitors left with a scarcely deserved share of the spoils.

The Blues sit in fifth in Division Four with Saturday's single point their first of the season. They travel to face the Old Wellingtonians this weekend on the astroturf in Southfields.
