Two goals from Alex Smith and two from Dan Firoozan helped the OHAFC 3rd XI to a comfortable 4-0 win at home to the Old Bancroftians on Saturday afternoon, setting the side up for one final showdown next weekend in their bid to claim successive promotions in the Arthurian League.

The final game of the season sees the Blues travel to St Albans to face the Old Columbans with both sides aiming for the second promotion spot from Division Four. Columbans simply need to avoid defeat, the OHAFC must win to go up.

Bancroftians, fortunately, had little to play for on Saturday but still mounted some stubborn resistance. The hosts took the lead from an excellent Alex Smith header but the lead remained just one at the break. Dan Firoozan scored a scrappy second shortly after the restart and both players added to their tallies in the closing stages as their opponents ran out of steam.

The win sets up next weekend's fixture at Columbans perfectly.
