Dolbey hat-trick fires 2s past Old Suttonians

19 Apr 2021

A superb hat-trick from midfielder Jack Dolbey - his first goals for the club - helped fire the OHAFC 2nd XI to a comprehensive 5-1 win over the Old Suttonians in the last 16 of this season's revamped Junior League Cup.

On a beautiful spring day on the Hill, the Blues produced arguably their best performance of the season, dominating for long spells against a Suttonians side they had struggled to defeat earlier in the season. Dolbey scored twice before the break with two glorious first-time finishes into the top corner and completed his treble with an equally superb free-kick shortly before time, curling the ball over the Suttonians wall and past a static keeper. Close-range finishes from Doug Pratt and Max Curry following corners completed the scoring.

The 2s now look likely to face Old KCS Wimbledon 2s in the quarter-finals, although final confirmation from the League has yet to arrive.
