OHAFC pioneers are re-united almost 50 years on...

13 Oct 2013

Richard Sheffield, Druries 1957, returned to Harrow and the Phil on Saturday after almost 50 years living in Scotland and was rewarded with a hard fought win over Old Malvernians. Richard's wife was at Malvern Ladies College where they apparently produce better players than the boys - it is rumoured that the girls will be selected for the away fixture later in the season so tougher opposition can be expected for the OHAFC 1's.

Richard was a valued contributor to the Club's re-establishment in 1963 and an important member of the inaugural Easter Tour to Etretat, North France, in 1964. We are delighted that he has made himself available for the 2014 tour, dependent on the level of on-site medical support.

Richard's father, George, was Chairman of Carlisle United FC and a Vice President of the OHAFC. He taught Fred all he knows about deliveries from set pieces and from Indian restaurants.
