1st XI earn first League win against Malvern

13 Oct 2013

The OHAFC 1st XI got their first League win under their belts on Saturday with an improved performance to defeat newly-promoted Malvern 4-2 on the Hill.

On a flawless surface, the home side initially held their opponents at bay before gradually moving through the gears to show their superiority.

Harry Hoffen opened the scoring in the first half, superbly lobbing the 'keeper after latching onto Lederman's through ball. Malvern equalised shortly afterwards when the retreating Harrow defence failed to cut out a long clearance. But the home side regained their advantage before the break, Milln heading into the top corner from a Lederman free-kick.

The second half saw the hosts play well in patches and they put the result beyond doubt thanks to two further goals, Trower coolly rounding the Malvern 'keeper to slot home following an excellent flick on from de Rougemont and Baker heading home the fourth from another pinpoint set-piece delivery from Lederman.

The win moves the 1's into mid-table but two more tricky fixtures await: a trip to Chigwell next week followed by a home game against Cholmelians.
