School win 3-1 in prestigious Boodles Cup 1st Round

24 Sep 2013

Harrow School has safely negotiated the 1st Round of its inaugural participation in the prestigious Boodles Cup Competition (Chairman is David Elleray) - the equivalent of the independent schools old boys Arthur Dunn Cup - with an impressive 3-1 win at Trinity School Croydon. An early goal gave Harrow the confidence to boss the next 20 minutes but Trinity rallied to make it 1-1 until just before half-time when Harrow regained the lead.

The second half was dominated by the visitors who won the physical battle and restricted Trinity to a single 'off target' shot whilst adding the decisive goal. This was a highly promising start to the campaign and we look forward to learning details of opponents in Round 2. Tom Knight and Tim Dalton are to be congratulated on their thorough preparation for this exciting new adventure and are fully aware of the sterner challenges which hopefully lie ahead.
